THE CLOAK
My creative journey began with photography. It was the first medium I took seriously, and eventually, it led me down a path of creativity.
This is a series I began when I received my first camera—influenced by Virgil's red cloak in the Divine Comedy and the red Santa Muerte statues that littered my childhood home. Like in the Divine Comedy, my cloak wanders the earth searching for eternity. The cloak covers the unnatural while creating abstract figure forms.
The cloak is part of my journey as an artist, and I plan to continue the project until the end. Enjoy some of the work below.
